Blogging

Captain’s Blog (and Commander’s Blog) use a small appleScript application called Blog Input Panel to write Blog entries. The initial idea was to use a standard Freeway prompt, but these do not support Japanese encoding, so it was decided to create a small application in Applescript Studio to do the same job. Text can be sent to and from this application via Freeway with the correct encoding.

As a result, this Action will only work on machines running Mac OS X. It has been tested on Panther and Tiget, but not Jaguar. However, the application has been built using XCode using Jaguar opotions, so it should work. If you uncertain, try Commender’s Blog before purchasing Captain’s Blog.

You also get access to the Mac OS X spell checking system - Freeway’s standard prompts do not get coverage by the spell checker.
